Part 3 of our Achilles tendinopathy series bring us to the return of the fun stuff, Plyos!!

Keeping it simple is best when returning to explosive activities. My go to is scaling hops. Start small, gain height or distance, accumulate more time, and build up a resilient tendon ready for bigger and better things!

Here’s three mini hop variations to scale and give a try for yourself. The little things make the biggest difference.

If you’re looking for a great way to add in core stability work or spice up your GPP, loaded carries are a solid option!

There’s a wide variety of ways to perform these movements. Here’s two ways to get these started:
1️⃣ Single KB Suitcase Carry
2️⃣ Double KB Marches

With both options opt for controlled pace and a tall strong posture. Don’t fall for the trap of going quickly to get these over with. Take your time and enjoy the burn!

Here’s a super simple way to set up lumbar traction at home!

Grab a thick resistance band and anchor it to the rig. Next hook your foot on the opposite end. Now scoot back and let the band tension do the rest!

Add in a posterior pelvic tilt (think smashing the small of your back into the floor) for a light pumping action.
